Choosing Vent Direction

Horizontal is easiest to install and recommended.

Vertical installations require the client to consult with a Certified HVAC tech to design the vent run. That is not something we do, as local code varies from state to state and city to city.

Ignition Types Explained

The difference between a standing pilot light and a piezo ignition system pertains to how they ignite the gas in your sauna heater.

Piezo ignition systems generate a spark (without the need for electricity or batteries) to ignite the gas when you turn on the heater. This spark is created by the piezoelectric effect, which occurs when certain materials (like crystals or ceramics) generate an electric charge in response to applied mechanical stress. In the case of a piezo ignition system, the mechanical stress is usually applied by pushing a button.
